COVID-19 vaccine Covaxin may be launched by August 15, human trials starting July 7
This vaccine has been prepared by Hyderabad-based pharmaceutical company Bharat Biotech. Let us know that just a few days ago, the company was allowed to do a human trial of its vaccine. ICMR Director General Dr. Balaram Bhargava has said in the departmental letter that the human trial of this vaccine will start from July 7, which should not be delayed, so that this vaccine can be launched for public on August 15. Bharat Biotech and ICMR are partners in preparing this vaccine.
The Government of India had just given permission for human trial of this first indigenous Covid-19 vaccine on June 30. A statement from Bharat Biotech stated that the company has developed the vaccine in collaboration with ICMR and National Institute of Virology (NIV). The human trial of this vaccine has been given the green signal by the Comptroller General of Drugs of India (DCGI).
Explain that apart from the trial of Covaxin of Bharat Biotech, Zydus Cadilla has also got permission for trial of the vaccine being developed for Covid-19. The Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has given permission to pharmaceutical company Zydus Cadila to start Phase I and Phase 2 human trials of COVID-19 vaccine.
